Sri Lanka lose Pradeep due to hamstring injury

Sri Lanka suffered a massive blow during the second Test against India as seamer Nuwan Pradeep was ruled out of bowling for the remainder of India's first innings. Sri Lanka's manager Asanka Gurusinha confirmed the same to Cricbuzz.

Cricbuzz learns Pradeep will go through a MRI scan in the evening and his further participation in the game is highly doubtful.

Sri Lanka took a big gamble to play just one paceman in the second Test and with Pradeep ruled out and former captain Angelo Mathews not fit to bowl, they have to rely heavily on the part-time option of Dimuth Karunaratne.
