Spot on, every series in India we need fast/bouncing & sporting wkt for atleast 1 match/series. Then we could ve fared better this series. We never seem to follow this simple rule. That's why poor performances in abroad tours.

Also Ravi Shastri, Kohli & co have bit weight on their head & thought they were from the heaven & with over confidence said no practice games. SA shows who s the boss & brought Kohli & Shastri down to earth. This defeat is much needed wake up call for us.

Had we played that practice match we could ve known the best 11 & also could ve done better.

Yes deemah786 bro I hundred percent agree with you on this. No 1 does not mean that you will not need any preparation.You have to prepare on those sort of pitches to be ready to face the challenge.

Yes bro preparation is must , also want to play ranji mathces on this type of pitches not all but atleast 25 % mathces to secure our future . player should be selected on ranji performance not IPL . india giving more importantance to ipl than ranji . ipl player not a long runner .

Solution ia just create this type of pitches in india but for their we want dare to do this . Also virat not able to select best 11 . How can a captain not selecting a voice captain .

Who knows Kohli might see Rahane as a captaincy threat specially with his superior batting abilities in overseas conditions. A few strings of loss in the upcoming overseas tours plus a successful Rahane(who is already the vice captain following successful returns from the previous overseas tours) might always be difficult to handle specially with Indian media.
