Selectors may have overlooked Pant that's why they ve gone for Gill this series. Pant selection for Australia series too looks very slim. If Gill plays an extraordinary inngs or two, he might be considered. DK Seems almost in, but not yet sealed that spot.

My concern abt DK is whether he can be able to play long inngs/hold the instrument if he comes

To get real time experience of international match , get the input from captain , coach & other senior players it'll be helpful for them in future while playing international matches

It's just show off to the people that bcci is selecting players who play well in domestic and at the same time not including in playing 11.This trick going for long time.

Yes DK is one of the Good finisher at present.At present may be better than dhoni.
But he must get chance to play long innings in ODI atleast 15-20 overs.but unfortunately not played so many overs in recent matches.
So for this WC-19 He just play the role of finisher only, not stable batsman.
but dont know whether he gets the chances with the tag Finisher,because dhoni(Advantage Best Keeper & Acting Captain),pandya(Adv Allrounder),kedar jhadav(adv-Batting All rounder) also aggressive in end overs.
