If dk sealed a place and why rayudu given chance continuously.if the team mgmt is intelligent they should allow dk to settle down and get some exp playing in middle order before world cup.but still playing in and out game in every series

Hmm, it ll eventually comes down to 1 World Cup Spot of

Rayudu/DK/Gill/Pant.

Atleast the selectors think this way, that's why they ve given Rayudu chance for 1st 2 Odi s. He s still in contention for that World cup spot. But anybody can grab that spot. If Gill scores couple of 50s or a 100 he ll be the front runner.

Thats what team management & selectors also trying to shortlist. Right now no one has sealed this spot.

Very close contest between DK & Rayudu being the front runners for the spot. But Pant & Gill are the dark horses.

I feel Rayudu will get another game this series & rested for last 2 matches
, Gill & Karthik will play last 2 matches or Rayudu will be rested for next match Dk ll play last 3 matches.

Australia home series also these 3 may get equal chance. Based upon the performances 1 will get shortlisted for that spot.

If team management also thinks it's DK vs Rayadu then it's not good for Indian cricket . These two can't be compared .

Considering the fact that rayadu never looked settled vs Australia and slow inning in death overs (18 off 25) in 2nd odi shows us that on bouncy tracks he struggles . While DK helped win India 3rd T20 against Australia .

100% agree,those 2 spots are not sealed. Selectors thinking of shortlisting 2 out of Rayudu/DK/Gill/Pant. That's why Gill has been selected for this series. Dk & Rayudu are front runners but couple of gud knocks from Gill/Pant will knock both Rayudu/DK out of the equation.

15 member squad for Australia series will give us a clear picture of who are in final contention.

Dk spot should be fixed as he played for almost a year in team.most of the team is fixed now i guess.pant won't be given chances to play in odi till world cup as it might create pressure for selectors to choose among dhoni or dk or pant.so they don't want to put themselves pressure because they already selected dhoni and won't give a chance to pant or ghill.lets see

Selectors may have overlooked Pant that's why they ve gone for Gill this series. Pant selection for Australia series too looks very slim. If Gill plays an extraordinary inngs or two, he might be considered. DK Seems almost in, but not yet sealed that spot.

My concern abt DK is whether he can be able to play long inngs/hold the inngsbif he comes before 30th over. If he can play that long inngs, i ll select him for the world cup without any hesitation.

I think if India wins tomorrow and seal the series, they should rest Dhoni along with Virat. DK should do the keeping role and bring in Gill in 1st down. Most probably Hardik will come in place of Vijay Shankar for tomorrow's match and he should play 4th & 5th ODI as well. With Hardik the team is well balanced.
