Stat alert: Only for the second time in their Test cricket history spinners haven't taken a wicket for India in consecutive Tests. The first time it happened was against Pakistan in Karachi & Faisalabad in 1989/90 (Sachin Tendulkar's first two Tests).
This is the first of Joe Root's 22 centuries which ended up in an England defeat (16 wins & five draws). The previous longest such sequence for a player was Gary Sobers whose first 20 centuries ended in a WI win, draw or tie.

This has to be One of the greatest test wins for INDIA .. absolutely Brilliant ..

1st day went to india then England made a comeback on day 2 ..
End of day 4 looks like India will loose
Start of day 5 England were favourites to win .. India playing for draw .. then fantastic partnership between M Shami and J Bumrah ..
Who would have thought declaration after lunch .. approx 60 overs remaining Indian bowlers would perform brilliantly ..
This game belongs to bowlers .. bowlers have batted and batted brilliantly to put India in winning position .. bowlers have taken wickets and made this victory possible
