Smith to lead, White included in Australia squad

Steven Smith will lead the Australian
side in the tri-series match against
England in Hobart on January 23.

Smith will take over the captaincy
from George Bailey, who has been
suspended for one match after a
second slow over-rate offence in the
game against India on Sunday in
Melbourne.

The team has also made some
changes to the squad. David Warner
will not be travelling to Hobart after
he chose to recuperate from a
hamstring strain that he sustained in
the first match of the series against
England in Sydney. Josh Hazlewood is
also not part of the squad as he
recovering from heel soreness while
Mitchell Johnson will also miss the
match due to personal reasons.

Shaun Marsh and Cameron White
have been added to the Australia
squad in their place. White was in
good form during the domestic one-
day tournament earlier in the season
while Marsh came back to form with
consecutive fifties in the recent Test
series. Warner's absence might result
in Aaron Finch and White opening the innings while Marsh could slot in the middle order in place of Bailey.
