Mitchell Marsh out of Sydney Test with hamstring injury
Mitchell Marsh, the Australian
allrounder, was ruled out of the
fourth and final Test against India
after he failed to recover completely
from the hamstring injury he suffered during the second Test.
"Mitchell Marsh had scans on his
injured hamstring this morning after
reporting some soreness yesterday,"
team physio Alex Kountouris said.
"The scans confirm that he has
suffered a setback in his rehab and
will not be available for the Sydney
Test match. Our focus for Mitchell
will now be on his return to one-day
cricket as we lead into the tri-series.
Marsh, who made his debut in the
first Test at Adelaide, played the first
two Tests against India. He, however,
suffered an injury to his right
hamstring in Brisbane and was
subsequently replaced by Joe Burns
for the Sydeny Test.
