From what I have seen over the years, Harshit+Prasidh is must and then one of Siraj or Akashdeep. Akashdeep is what I will go with looking at how pitch behaved in Perth 2018. Sunder as a lone spinner.

I am still against Rahul the way he got out to spinner in practice match against Australia A. He cannot be successful anymore. He has serious mental block. Paddikal and Sudarshan and Gaikwad must be given chance overseas atleast. At home, you can give chance to Sarfaraz/Bhui/Indrajith.

It's disappointing. Gaikwad has been cheated by Agarkar to be honest. Sai Sudarshan, I don't know what else he has to do to be in team. I feel it's investing in him through quota. Rahane phased out to accommodate Iyer. Iyer has issues with short ball and fitness, so they gave chance to Sarfaraz. Now Rahul is out of form, so they are giving chance to Paddikal.

If one person is cheated then he is eiswaran he is the guy named originally in squad now A tour guys get chance in main indian team although main squad player's not played A games then why eiswaran got judged in past jurel , paddikal , Sarfaraz and patidar got chances on their ranji form then why bar diffrent for eiswaran I fell eiswaran was victim as he is a player from bengal

Gaikwad in test lol Fact that he even made it to Australia in the first place is a big embarassment for us. We don't have so much poverty in batting that we have to play Gaikwad in tests

He scored runs in practice match against squad. I am not hundred percent sure. 80 or 100. Not details are out.

Now what's the reason for Sanju backing suddenly? Jitesh Sharma+Ishant Kishan isn't good or there is something else?
If Gaikwad wasn't going to get picked for Australia tests,then he should have been in T20 squads atleast. Kishan as well. I don't mind purely as a batsman. Yes, Samson and Tilak Verma has done well, but again, these should have been there in white ball format.


KL Rahul is persisted with because of his supreme technique. That's why selectors dropped Mayank Agarwal as well. But again KLRahul batting in middle order in South Africa and opened in England in 2021 and South Africa as well. Now back to middle order. Now again opening. This isn't good. I hope he scores runs in this series or drop him from all formats forever.

I believe he should be there in ODI and test format in place of Virat Kohli. But not as a opener. If Virat, Rohit and Rahul doesn't do well in these five test matches, then they should retire from all formats after CT 25.
