Im more shocked as to why Siraj isn't even playing in the team, he had a very good performance in the tour matches.. In D/N tests in Australia, spinners have an avg of 49, so I don't see the point of playing Ashwin over Siraj.

Sorry to say. Cricket nowadays lacks a thing call class. They need to learn from Hollywood and sack people for making insulting remarks not honour them with tournament names. 2019 Oscar was held without a host. That is step going forward. Imagine having an award in the name of Harvey Weinstein in the Oscars.

No attacking batsmen selected . All are too defensive which Aussies get easily. Shaw will throw his wicket. Poor playing XI . Only bowlers are our hope now.

Agreed , in Pink ball You need someone to counter attack when there is swing on offer for quicks Sadly Except Kohli no one in team can do that in this Playing 11.

Gill may play next Test Match in place of Kohli at 4/5.....
Shaw may play 2 test, maybe replaced by Rohit if he doesn't perform in 2 Test....
Possibly considering the Day night Test and importance of Caught behind, they have opted for better Keeper, Pant may come in 2nd Test Match.....
