Now that Sundar has been largely good in tests too, that makes me wonder what will happen to Kuldeep. Will he end up like Jayant Yadav, Shahbaz Nadeem and others? I don't see that happening, but there has to be a drastic change for him in some manner, so that he doesn't end up like them.

Kuldeep is another one like Pant whose confidence has been bruised by constant in/out from the team.This dude was playing white ball cricket in 2019 in England in WC and now he is struggling to get into the test squad.A Part of blame lies with team management who for instance don't trust their designated batsman to do the job and look for bowlers who can bat as in Sundar.IMO Sundar is suited only to T20 cricket where keeping runs in check is the 1st priority.He hasn't even played much 1st class cricket for his state.I don't understand the rational behind his selection.He is not a Jadeja with bat and obviously a far inferior test bowler than Kuldeep.

Test Matches should play first in any tour.Then injuries shouldn't Cause this much damage.
Can play Tests matches with Best team.
ODI and T20 can play with even less experience players if any injuries

3ODI's are the culprit.. They were not at all required.. Should have played the T20s And Tests.. Tour would have finished by now.. Players would have been sitting at home for atleast a month before the England series.

Kuldeep should not play T20s. He should play only odi/Test.. His confidence level got hammered in IPL only.Think he will play the England series at home.. Will surely play atleast 3mathes..if not will really be disappointed.

I think Harshra on air was mentioning Sundar as replacement of Jadeja (little bit of this and that). Aussie commentator (can't recall who it was) also having no problems with Sundar but he wanted Kuldeep in place of any 1 of 3 RHF (as all are same) along with Natarajan (being leftie goes on his favor).

Coming to Pant, we all know what he is capable of and what damage/fear he injected on opposite camp. He brought 4 mighty Aussie bowlers down to earth. IMO he should be given free hand in Test matches. At least in SENA countries, where he has some excellent records, must be first choice. In subcontinent, where more perfect keeper is required for slow bowlers, Saha can replace him.

Agreed but if i was Kuldeep i would be massively disappointed to see Sundar play ahead of me.As i said Sundar is not that good with bat that his obviously inferior bowling gets selected over Kuldeep.I agree that Kuldeep at times can be a wild card but if you don't groom him now then when you will do it?Ashwin is 36 and we don't have other spinners in picture at State level. Personally feel that this is massive nonsense from the team management.

He is 34 BTW. Who said we don't have spinners? We have 31 yr old Shahbaz Nadeem and 30 yr old Jayant Yadav in the ranks. But sad that other spinners got ahead of them..
