Exactly bro, In this time iam thinking abt 2003-04 series where our success was mainly due to opening combination of viru-aakash chopra, where aakash max wud score arnd 40's almost every inngs which took shine of the ball & pressure off the middle order meanwhile sehwag took the game with his attacking style in no time,Here if we don't require viru if both played like Aakash in 2nd test the result wud ve been better. Also we depends entirely on kohli, pujara & Rahane in playing 11. As i said we fail to create a pool of test batsmenk(openers & middle order), Now only Players like Mayank, Shaw.

with only 3 persons how could we even think of a win. To make matter worse, still can't figure out on what basis they ve selected Rohit Sharma for this series, very poor selection. Instead they cud ve discussed names like Ambati Rayudu who i feel is much better & have good temperament to play in test matches.

You are 100 percent right.how bcci selected rahul,vijay,rohit,umesh after so many failures in test matches.sunil gavaskar questions bcci for team selection.half of the team looks out of form players.how this team going to win rest of the series.i wanted vijay,rahul,rohit to get removed after 1st test.that didn't happened.now its cost us one test match.

In One day internationals , virat average is more while chasing and thats why India won many matches with his match winning knocks.
Kohli has to improve his fourth innings average to win us more test matches. Having said this it doesnot mean others should come and walk off immediately with big smileon their face like Pant and usual golden duck from Shami.

Ambati Rayudu retired from test cricket.

Retired before making test debut. . Just saw news Retired from 1st class cricket, so technically he s not available for test selection. Feel he shud v given some chance in test cricket. Good player, he could ve played min 20 tests.
