Inbox by Gmail got the custom Snooze options back in April, and now Google has added another useful Snooze-related feature with the latest update. The feature is for those emails which are time-sensitive.

The Snooze option in Inbox by Gmail would now let users snooze an email to exactly the right time and date - like the day of the concert or the morning user's package will arrive. Users now have a one-tap option to snooze the mails on the right time and date. This one-tap option can be seen in emails dealing with restaurant and event reservations, calendar invites, flight confirmations, hotel reservations, and rental car reservations.

On selecting the Snooze option, users would see a "Snooze until..." card giving options like this evening, tommorow, next week, or someday. The card also gives option to remind users 1 hour before the event, or let them pick the date and time accordingly.

In April, Google introduced custom Snooze options in Inbox by Gmail. Users can set custom morning, afternoon, and evening Snooze times along with existing Snooze options from when the app was launched last year. The firm also added the option to quickly access Contacts on the Web with a new option in the sidebar.

When trying to perform a search for a particular bit of information in your email, oftentimes the info you’re looking for is buried deep within a larger conversation. Whether you’re looking for a restaurant location, an important meeting time or a flight confirmation number, the search functionality in some of our email clients doesn’t always do the trick. This is why today Google is rolling out an update to the Inbox by Gmail app that will make finding important information much faster and easier.

Now when you perform a search for a frequent flyer number or shipping status, Inbox will show the most important bit of info at the top of the search results. This means you’ll no longer have to dig through individual emails to find that small bit of info you’re looking for. Inbox will also now show you a “Top results” section when performing a search, that will order your emails by relevance. Below the “Top results” section sits an “All results” section, which will order your emails by date.

After using this new feature for just a few minutes, I can say it works very well. I was able to find both my USPS tracking number and a friend’s address with ease. If you’re interested, follow the link below to grab the latest version of Inbox by Gmail.

The Gmail team at Google have given its Inbox mobile app and web app a big update. The update brings three new important changes in the form of streamlined events, glanceable newsletters and saved links, that should hopefully convince a few more users to make the switch to its Inbox service.

Tapping on an event will now show you all emails related to that event at once glance. In short, the new update will help you keep track of changes (if people happen to drop out) giving users a comprehensive overview of the event in one place.

The other feature to be added with this update is the ability to view and preview newsletters all at once. Inbox will now show a condensed preview of the same in your Inbox thread and tapping upon it will reveal a card-like interface that clubs all information from your newsletters in one glance.

Last but not the least is Inbox’s new ability to store and remember links inside emails. This is a welcomed feature as users will not have to share links to other apps to save them but simply tap on “Save to Inbox” instead. This can be done both from within the Inbox app inside an email or even from the other apps, thanks to the sharing extension.

You can now preview formatted pages from links in your emails without the need to leave the Inbox app. On the desktop, users can download the Inbox by Gmail Chrome extension to add links to Inbox. All of the saved links will be accessible under one thread.

Indeed, all of the above features have been introduced as time-saving ones that will also help users reduce the clutter in their inbox with minimal effort. The update is rolling out from the server side, so users will gradually see the new features appearing in the respective accounts.

Google is reportedly adding some new features to its Inbox by Gmail service. The new set of features focuses on giving users more control on notifications they want to receive. A new section called Notification Level will be added with options to get notifications for all incoming emails or get no notification update until an ‘important’ email arrives.
