W Getting localised.. Print It's Steve vs Steve with WWDC's Keynote and
Microsoft's E3 2011 conferences clashing. Here's
our theory on why. Sumit Sitha New Member 0 Follower Share Click if offensive Rate Reply Sumit Sitha New Member 0 Follower Share Click if offensive Rate Reply IE9 Goes Multi-Lingual for
India hen Microsoft’s popular Internet browsing tool rolls out its latest version, i.e Internet Explorer 9 in India, it will be made available in 11 different
Indian regional languages - Assamese, Bengali,
Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Marathi,
Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. In a bid to promote its famed local language
computing in the country, Microsoft plans to ensure
that technology reaches every nook and corner of
its vast demograpic. These 11 languages are a part
of Microsoft’s much bigger plan – it will launch Internet Explorer in 53 global languages. By
visiting the company’s website, users can choose any language of their choice and convenience from
the given list. This move of the software giant hasn’t been an 'on the spur moment' one, it has all been
there since 1998 i.e. the first time when Bill Gates
visited India, and decided to help the masses
benefit. With Project Bhasha coming in 5 years later, the
concept got rooted more firmly.
