Tax saving Fixed Deposit is safest option for tax saving under 80c but at that same time interest rates are now very low now 6 ~ 6.5% compared to that few years ago

I use FD as last option to save under 80c, this year I invested 10k in FD's in HDFC bank at 6% interest.
