The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday (May 10) made a formal request to Sports Illustrated India, which has claimed to expose "dirt in cricket", to provide them with tapes that are in possession with the magazine.

The magazine claims to have 400 minutes of taped conversation as evidence between bookies, international players and cricket officials which allege Indian player’s involvement in fixing.

The magazine claims that bookies have taken names of Indian cricketers as well but refused to publish those, saying it will share all the material gathered with the ICC and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The magazine said that a senior BCCI official told their reporter how there were serious concerns over unsavoury characters hanging around the players in the second edition of the IPL, that took place in South Africa, and also during the Champions League.
