I think the issue is not on starsports side. I think the problem is from sunset vine productions as a close watcher of world cup matches started from warm up matches. I has noticed that the matches from some grounds looked crystal clear that matched with latest technology. But telecast from some grounds are poor quality. And the worst fact is that the quality of these matches is not even matching with 2007world cup matches. So my conclusion is that sunset vine is using gud quality cameras in some grounds and very low quality cameras in some grounds. Some one the forum mentioned that the problem is with starsports3 channel but it is not because in warm up games to these grounds matches looked bad even in starsports2. I had mentioned these problem during aus vs eng warmup match but no body in the forum responded.

If problem was from production side then hotstar wouldn't have HD feed . It's star who messed up all. They thought NZ vs SL would be tough fought match than AUS vs AFG

They can't do this, icc will never make such aggriment, they have to use same quality equipment in each and every match.

Then bro what you are suggesting is it star degrading feed? Then my answer will be no because low camera quality matches are only from same grounds that too in repetitive manner if star is degrading then why they can,t degrade matches.in some.specific stadiums. I think this done by sunset vine with the promise of icc or the icc is not aware about video quality of matches anyway it is shame to see poor video quality matches in a tournament like world cup. I think the karnataka premier league matches has better video quality than these.

Agree with you. but after long time I'm watching cricket in SD .. commentary volume, crowd volume is high compare to star Sports HD thats the only likeable thing.

Hey bro quality is not what HD or SD here. Because i has watched newzealand vs srilanka in awesome quality on SS2 Sd and when i watched aus vs afg in ss3 sd my eyes feeled pain. That too in a 21inch crt tv. So it is sure that sunset vine is using poor cameras in.some grounds .

I am not home & watching match on hotstar so can't debate much about it.

But one possibility is the problem either in uplinking from Stadium or in downlinking here (star)

I remember when sony won rights of NZ home matches in 2008 or 2009 (can't remember exactly) the quality in which they used to telecast the match was horrible and when India toured NZ they(Sony) took the help of ten sports Dubai to improve the quality of telecast.

as far as starsports3 is concerned its not about worldcup overall starsports 3 has worst quality be it any sports telecasted on that channel

samefeed we are getting in middle east as well but its telecasted on OSN channel u should see the quality on that channel its amazing...so its problem with star
