Guptill was involved in almost all the key moments in this WC.

1. Dhoni's run out.
2. 4 overthrows by hitting Stokes's bat when 9 runs were needed of 3 balls.
3. Final ball of the Super over, where he himself got run out.

If Boult caught that clean, Stokes would have been gone and New Zealand could have sealed it. Likewise, there were lot of Ifs and buts in this game, and marginally better team won. We can debate a lot about those rules and all, but they existed since long and were not defined for this particular match. So, nothing can be done about them!

Both teams were brilliant yesterday. New Zealand just didn't have that piece of luck to carry the World Cup home and England did. Since it's the 1st World Cup for any team winning, it's a good result in the end! Best ODI match ever IMO! Congrats to England and I hope this win will revive the country's cricket!

A phenomenal World Cup, despite having so many rain interrupted games! It was England's loss against Sri Lanka, that made the WC interesting and it's fitting that they won it!

Dunno who was on the strike as I can't read Hindi properly. But he should have taken the run on the last ball of New Zealand's innings.

Guptill already tired with that double runs taken that over. and for Stricking batsman never easy to complete second run. Non Stricker already leaving crease before ball delivers. Just Guptill bad luck with not completed that last run.

If you see again Guptill forcing Neesam two time to completed Two Runs on that over.

I wasn't talking about Super Over. I was talking about New Zealand's 50th over.

Very sad end to New-Zealand. I can't understand that overthrow hitting on bat and reaches boundary. But how 6 runs given. Asper rule only 5 runs has to given. I can't digest the boundary rule in Super over. England plays with ICC, New-Zealand plays with our hearts.
Second run completed before the ball crossed boundary line. So total 6 runs (2+4) as per rules.
