I didn't compare him with Rohit because you commented about balls. Ya 41-50 are for hitting but when he gets out who else is there to score?

Even Pant played his 1st match with less int exp compared to Karthik but played well.

Maybe he was sure to hit a couple of runs or afraid about bhuvi getting out by Rahman who took 2 main wickets already. MS got out and after that bhuvi and Shami scored 1 run each and got out.

He got 3 wickets in that over and total he took 5 wickets

So what is use of staying till the end of you are scoring run a ball ??
You should compare Dhoni with pant not with dk as DK had came 4-5 overs later than Dhoni and Dhoni immediately came after Pandya was out. Just because in hist first match he didn't score doesn't mean he won't score. You should be happy atleast DK tried to hit and got out unlike Dhoni who was busy maintaing his average like previous matches.

Ok assume he was afraid that Bhubaneswar would lost wicket , what about last match against England where India had lost only 4 wicket and required run rate was around 9 ??? That time also he was keeping wicket and not hitting to loose match ?? What is main purpose of keeping wicket then ??

KL gave funtastic start although not great but decent one . Just imagine if Rahul had gone cheaply , would we have touched 300 mark ??.

How many times has Dhoni performed when top 3 gone cheaply ??
