HTC announced its RE camera at the ‘Double Exposure’ event held in Mumbai on Friday night.
The RE camera will be offered at an inaugural price of Rs 9,990 and will be sold exclusively on Snapdeal till stocks run out.
HTC would not give us an exact number of units that are being stocked for the inaugural launch.
Considering its US pricing is $199, that comes to around Rs 12,230
approximately.
RE Camera comes with a minimalistic design, almost resembling a periscope or an asthma pipe and it weighs a light 65 grams.
HTC RE features a 1/2.3-inch 16-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide angle fixed-focus lens, having a viewing angle of 146-degrees, that can capture 1080p HD videos at 30 fps. It can also capture slow motion 720p videos at 120 fps.
It houses an 860mAh battery that is rated for 1200 still images and 100 minutes of full HD video recording.
It can take in a microSD card which is inserted at the base of the RE camera upto a 128GB capacity.
