HTC today unveiled seven new smartphones in India, including its flagship HTC 10 and the One X9 Dual SIM smartphones. The Desire 825 and the Desire 628 Dual SIM too have been launched, which will go on sale sometime next month, priced at Rs 18,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively. HTC also announced the HTC 10 Lifestyle, Desire 630 and the Desire 830, but didn’t reveal the pricing details.
HTC Desire 825 specifications, features:
The HTC Desire 825 was launched at MWC 2016 earlier this year. On the design front, it boasts a polycarbonate body treated with a micro-splash process, which creates a unique pattern of paint specs on each phone. The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB.
The Desire 825 also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities, 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.8 aperture, BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio support, and a 2,700mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow wrapped under Sense UI.
Priced at Rs 18,990, the HTC Desire 825 doesn’t look capable to take on the competition, which include the likes of OnePlus 2 and the Lenovo Vibe X3 to name a few. Smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Moto G4 Plus and LeEco Le 1s offer much better features at a much lower price point.
