HTC has quietly launched the Desire 626
which is now listed on the company's
Taiwanese site. The HTC Desire 626 is
priced at TWD 5,990 (approximately Rs.
11,800) on the company's online store;
though it is listed as 'not in stock' at the
time of writing.

Unfortunately, there is no word on the
global release of the HTC Desire 626 . On
of the most notable features of the Desir
626 is that it supports 4G LTE bands
and looks set to be a competitor to
Motorola's Moto G (Gen 2) LTE .
The Android -based (unspecified version)
HTC Desire 626 comes with HTC
BlinkFeed and supports single SIM
(Nano-SIM). It features a 5-inch
(720x1280 pixels) HD display and is
powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core
Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor
that's coupled with 1GB of RAM.

It bears 16GB of built-in storage that ca
be expanded via microSD card (up to
128GB). It features a 13-megapixel rear
camera with a BSI sensor and LED flash,
apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing
camera with a BSI sensor. The rear
camera features scene detection,
panaroma, geo-tagging, best shot, smile
shot, and HDR options.

Apart from 4G LTE, the HTC Desire 626
supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro
USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, DLNA,
GLONASS, and FM radio connectivity
options. It is powered by a 2000mAh
battery that is rated to deliver up to 30
hours of talk time and up to 761 hours
standby time on 3G network.

It includes accelerometer, ambient light,
and magnetic sensor. The Desire 626
measures 146.9x70.9x8.19mm and
weighs 140 grams. The official HTC
Taiwan site also lists Dot View cases for
the new Desire 626.

Last week, HTC announced the Android
5.0 Lollipop update for the HTC One aka
HTC One (M7), specifically, the unlocked
and Developer Edition variants. Notably,
the HTC One received Android 5.0.2
Lollipop update with Sense 6 UI.
