The most recent and exciting feature of WhatsApp for Android – voice calling – will be making its way to iOS users soon.

At the Facebook F8 conference, WhatsApp cofounder Brian Acton said that the messaging service is
preparing to bring the voice calling feature to iOS
users in the coming weeks, according to a report by
VentureBeat .

On further probing, he soon changed his statement to ‘several weeks’, adds the report.

At the conference, Acton was speaking on a panel with Instagram cofounder Mike Krieger and head of
Facebook Messenger David Marcus. he also said how the company has spent a year ‘refining and iterating’ voice calling before finally launching it for Android.
