Discussion How much effective is the DND service?

As you know all operators provide DND features with mainly 3 options - fully blocked, promotional communication blocked and custom option..my question is does it truly works or just some fake feature?

Also if I select fully blocked option, will it block any important calls or sms? Anyone any experience with this?
 
It has stopped most of the spams for me.

I used to still get RCS spams but they stopped after I replied "STOP" to each of them.

I don't think I missed any calls or messages because of this. I remember being told to disable DND some years ago by customer support teams, but that was in like 2010.

I still get some calls from local SBI guys. Have received calls from HDFC too for credit card (I wanted that, so this was good).

The only spam I got was from Bajaj. I did a mistake of somehow giving them my number. I don't remember how and why I did that, but they used to call me a bunch of time for new card, loan etc. every single day. I told them I don't need but they continued until I gave a few warnings to their Twitter account.

I guess I need to use Twitter only...bajaj guys are so irritating..btw activated fully blocked option or customized?

Fully blocked, they were still calling me multiple times. It took a few warnings in Twitter to stop them completely.
