I recently got a message that land is required for setting up of tower and i would be paid in lakhs for lease along with monthly rent. how authentic is this?

Almost all of them are fake. Don't fall for it. If you want to provide your land for tower construction, contact the telecom companies themselves and if they think it is feasible, they will contact you back. Don't fall for the scammers.

Newspapers need money for ads & so they don't verify the authenticity of the ads...
