Help needed to find out a 9 volt AC adapter

I think you need Devices like Inverter and Step up transformer to convert you DC output into AC output

During College days we used a rechargeable battery, step up transformer, rectifiers and few other devices to convert DC to AC

That is our college theories .
Many equipment especially musical instruments those having external power supply using low volt AC input and the rectification ( converting to DC) is within the equipment.

In this case I opened my minimix to provide jumper in the rectification part and connect my old DC power adapter.. But it is much complex circuitry and eventually i gave up.
