In a curb to move black money, the government has banned Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

According to a CNBC-TV18 report, government's focus is on printing and circulation of Rs 2000 notes. Two lakh crore worth of Rs 2000 notes are being pumped in the system immediately.

Government's plan is to step up printing of Rs 2000 notes from 1 billion peices to 3 billion pieces. Value of the notes will move up to Rs 6 lakh crore.

Only some pockets of Delhi and Mumbai have received the Rs 2000 notes.

It is likely that the situation wil stabalize from next week onwards.
