Google has announced its latest list of products which it plans to shut down or merge into its existing products. Last time, Google had announced closing down Google Pack, Fast Flip and Aardvark. Later the search engine giant shut down Google Buzz, a micro-blogging service that was incorporated into Gmail. This time, the mobile web app for Google Talk and One Pass are some of the products that will be facing what Google calls spring cleaning.

Google is also shutting down its Google Sync for BlackBerry beginning June 1, 2012. Google says user who have already downloaded the app, they can still use it. But the app will not be available for download after June 1. However, Google recommends users to switch to BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) or the Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise.

Google's Picasa Web Albums Uploader for Mac and Picasa Web Albums Plugin for iPhoto have also been axed. Users can still use the uploader and plugin in case they have already installed. But Google warns it will not be maintaining these tools. Google advises users to download Picasa 3.9 for Mac, which includes upload and iPhoto import features.

While announcing closure of WINE-based version of Picasa for Linux, Google says it will continue enhance Picasa but it has become difficult for it to maintain parity on the Linux version. The company said it will not be making any further updates.

Google's mobile web app for Google Talk is also among the products being axed. “We’re shutting down the mobile web app for Google Talk. For mobile users who want to continue using Google Talk, we recommend using the native Google Talk app on Android or any XMPP-compliant apps on other mobile platforms,” said Google in a blog post.
