NEW DELHI: Google's counterpart to the Facebook Like Button is all set to make its debut "in the coming weeks," according to Google's development team.

The company gave the attendees at its Google I/O developer conference in San Francisco a sneak peek into its Google +1 button. Similar to Facebook's Like Button or the Twitter Tweet button, it provides a way for website visitors to endorse and share an article or web page.

According to a report on Searchengineland.com, "Installation for most people will be done by using a simple code generator that allows setting of size, whether to include a count and other options."

The buttons will reportedly be available in several different shapes and sizes with and without counters. Users can create one of these +1 buttons from a simple form where they can generate the embed code.
