What they really need to do is merge allo+duo+google voice into one product which can make regular Voip calls to cellular networks along with video call and text to other users who have the same app. Google is coming up with too many sub par apps, instead of coming up with one that can rule them all.

They are doing exactly that. Just check chrome Dev. It is now integrated with Google now. They will doing ut at some point .
