The much-awaited Google Nexus 5 smartphone is likely to be released in India by the end of this month. The phone is listed on the e-commerce site Snapdeal.com, which claims the phone will be released in the fourth week of November. The phone, on Monday, was available for pre-order on Snapdeal.com, but in no time all units were pre-booked. According to Snapdeal.com, all units have been sold out.
A mobile phone retailer from Mumbai also informed us of the availability of the Nexus 5. He said, "the phone will come to India this month - most probably by November 20."
While the Nexus 5 smartphone is still listed as "Coming soon" on the Google India Play Store, the Nexus 5 (16GB) is available online on iBhejo.com at an inflated price. The online store is selling the 16 GB Nexus 5 model at Rs 30,198, while it is officially priced at Rs 28,999. Units are claimed to be imported from the USA, where the phone is already available.
While Google has revealed the price tags of the Nexus 5 for the Indian market, it has not yet made it clear as to when the device will be officially available in India.
