Good Idea to Use Monitor as TV ?

Hi , is it a Good Idea to buy a LED Monitor and Use it as TV ?
Would it be a reasonable choice ? Comment any Pros n Cons of doing such replacement ....

I used in a reverse order,used Sony 19' LCD TV for over 7 years as PC Monitor & TV it didn't had any Cons.

I still use the old Sony TV as monitor alone now it's almost 10 years and still going good.

pros:
1. may be cheap compared to tv
2. chroma 4:4:4
cons:
1. No remote
2. No sound (except some)
3. Monitor may not be HDCP compliant

There used to be a problem with CRT monitor that's why screensaver exists on Windows but with modern lcd there should not be any problem

they are same only some features are added or removed according to the needs. Approx life of led is 100000 hours.

Screenburn issue exists with every display types. but modern display got smarter. PC & laptop displays turn off itself if you aren't using it. This feature increases the life of display as well as saves power. that's why screensavers are disabled by default. TV displays also have similar kind of features like they turn off itself if not connected to any source or they'll turn off if you haven't pressed any button on remote.

I already have sound bars , remote isn't a issue bcos dth remote is enough , would connect with HDMI ...
What I think is getting some bigger screen at cheaper cost and good performance bas pc monitor are also used for gaming ,
So using if as a TV might be good , and will have long life ...
