Kings XI Punjab are already reeling at
the bottom of the table with just one
win from six matches. Come Sunday,
they would be desperate to stop the
on-song Gujarat Lions. However,
problems just do not seem to be
leaving the Kings' corner.
Their star batsman Glenn Maxwell got
hit on his hand twice during their
practice session on Saturday. First up,
Maxwell took a ball from Anureet
Singh on his hand and was seen in
pain.
But, bigger trouble was in store for the
Aussie as his compatriot Mitchell
Johnson's delivery hit his arm once
again. Out of agony, Maxwell threw his
bat and walked out of the ground with
the physio. A few minutes later, he did
return to the field but didn't take his
batting stance again.
However, the 27-year-old was
comfortable during fielding practice. --
