I would like to know if I can use a hotspot to stream Netflix on my tablet if I recharge with a plan that costs Rs. 1299,
Because a YouTube video says that it will only work on the phone in which the Jio SIM has been recharged and same sim should be availble in the phone.
It works on Tablet as well. A Tablet is nothing but a smartphone with a larger display.

Netflix subscriptions never works that way like they will check your network operator, etc.

Your Netflix account, that you will link via provided URL will add a bundled plan that will be shown as billed through Jio. That's the only connection between Netflix and Jio, nothing more than that.

All benefits of the respective plan will be available to you without any kind of restriction from your plan biller (Jio in this case).

But why you guys want bundled netflix? Netflix don't provide any discount any subscribers
Because Netflix provides only a monthly base plan. Netflix does not provide any long term plans. The bundle pack benefits only that we are free from monthly recharges.
However, there is no pricing difference between Netflix's direct charges and the bundle pack.

Will take a bit more time until the base tariffs reach 300.
Many people need data, very few people on 1749 or 1849. Jio mischievously stopped that unlimited 5G data on 1449 which many were using. Due to tariff hike people recharge in advance yearly. That's the case I have seen since it was 1299. Now 1749 will go 1999. People don't see profit in those unless and until you have 1Gbps FTTH at home. Nobody will use this plan anymore. People will go for 3599, which comes at 276 or something like that per month. Also, not lot of people will recharge annually. Many will do 349 only per month. So average of that will come down to 300+ near to tariff hike. I am saying this for Jio. I don't know about Airtel as they have postpaid users as well. How much was Airtel ARPU for this quarter?

Many people don't need daily data or more data for that matter. Many people who stay under Wifi coverage most of the time prefer small packs. Jio has stopped the value plans otherwise it was a hot seller. Thankfully Airtel and VI have kept it so some people will definitely move networks to save some money.
People wanting to use more wireless data like 5G should spend a bit more and go for yearly or any suitable plan.
Airtel's quarterly results are not out yet I think. ARPU wise Airtel will always be higher than the rest.

I agree with second para, but I don't agree with first para.

Those who used to recharge with 1599 or 1449, unlimited voice calls and 24GB data have shifted to 3599 after July tariff hike. I think @Esmail had that plan in his OnePlus Nord 3, he might have shifted to 3599 as well. That's my experience at distributors of Airtel prepaid in Navi Mumbai.
