Incoming stops working after the grace period if we don't recharge, usually 15 days. An active plan is required for incoming as well on Jio.

Then how come I received calls on all 2 numbers that I have not recharged.

My brother's Jio number is not recharged from last 3-4 months but incoming is working & unlimited outgoing also works from Jio to Jio. Infact, on my number also after the recharge is over both outgoing (only Jio to Jio) & incoming calls (any network) works.

Outgoing to Jio works for like around 20-25 days from the last recharge. Last December I recharged for cricket plan. Outgoing was working for some days. Then it stopped.

I'm not sure. Ideally it should not work. This is the reason why other networks introduced minimum monthly recharge to keep the number active. Jio started this practice.

Yes, that is exactly why I asked. The last I used incoming calls on my Jio number was in May'2018. But after that havent got a chance to check, however, Jio kept giving promotional data packs in Sep'2018, Oct'2018, Dec'2018. I didnt check if Incoming worked that time or not. Never really needed it. But need it now for incoming calls, hence the question.

I haven't recharged my Jio number for more than two months I'm still getting incoming calls

Got first time ever, hence posted.

Well, I just called my Jio number and the IVR lady says that the Number I am trying to reach is Switched Off (in Hindi and English). So, I guess the number is still able to accept incoming calls if inserted in a mobile phone. Else, the message would have been- The Number you are trying to reach has been temporarily disconnected.
