Shami eyes national comeback through Vijay Hazare Trophy
India's currently-sidelined pacer Mohammed Shami has set his sights on a comeback from a knee injury, in the last two games of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, the pacer revealed on Sunday (February 26). Shami sustained knee injury in the third Test against England in November last year, and hasn't played since.
"I am doing fine now and have started bowling in the nets," Shami told reporters at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. "I don't know yet but if I'm fully fit and comfortable to play, then I may play last two matches (for Bengal in Vijay Hazare Trophy)," he added.

Shivalkar, Goel set to be given Lifetime Achievement Award
Former left-arm spinners Rajinder Goel and Padmakar Shivalkar alongwide former women's cricketer Shanta Rangaswamy are set to be accorded the Lifetime Achievement Award in the upcoming BCCI Annual Awards 2016-17, set to take place on March 8 in Bengaluru. Rangaswamy is the first Indian Woman cricketer to compile a hundred - scoring it in Dunedin against a formidable New Zealand side in 1977. She also captained India in 12 games, in a career spanning 15 years. An Arjuna Award winner, she became the selector of the Indian women's team from 2003 to 2006 and eventually the India coach.

A blazing hundred from Kedar Jadhav led Maharashtra to a 195-run win against Delhi at the DRIEMS ground in Cuttack. Sent in to bat, Maharashtra were 79 for 2 in the 18th over, following a 52-run second-wicket stand between Vijay Zol (35) and Naushad Shaikh , when Jadhav walked in. From there, he stitched partnerships of 107 for the third wicket with Shaikh (52) and 59 for the fourth with Nikhil Naik (63 off 46) before he was out for 113 off 64 balls, with 11 fours and eight sixes.
