Brendan Taylor could make his international comeback as early as next month after more than two years out of Zimbabwe colours. On Thursday, Taylor was released from his county deal with Nottinghamshire and recontracted by Zimbabwe Cricket.

He is making his way to Harare where, after a 10-day break with family, he will join training camps for matches against Netherlands, Pakistan A and a two-Test series against West Indies in October.

Tatenda Taibu, Zimbabwe's convener of selectors, expects Taylor to all but walk back into the starting XI. "Anyone who knows cricket knows Brendan Taylor is a quality player. We don't need to see much. We have been following his performances and we know how he has been doing on the county circuit. We're looking forward to having him back," Taibu told ESPNcricinfo.

Recently, a lot of cricket fans were quite disappointed when Kohli and MS Dhoni were not a part of the World XI cricket squad that toured Pakistan to play the Independence Cup.

Many took to Twitter to share their messages and confessed how ardently they missed the top players in Pakistan. Along with heartfelt messages, fans also uploaded some placards from the Lahore stadium for the cricket sensations.

A lot of interesting pictures and messages were all over the social media but this one particular photo is breaking the Internet.

The viral photo shows a Pakistani police personnel holding a poster that reads, "Kohli, Marry Me"!

I think Internet is becoming stupid. When terrorists are killing people id*ots will make jokes on Pak relationship.
Unless main issue is fixed no jokes is funny and person to person contact is completely useless.
I think ISI is operating internet trolls to slowly continue their destabilizing policies.

Ishant named Delhi Ranji captain :hehe:

i

Ishant Sharma, the India fast bowler, has replaced Gautam Gambhir as Delhi captain for the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy season.

This is the first time Ishant, 29, has been entrusted with the leadership of the side. With an experience of 77 Tests under his belt, a DDCA official felt Ishant was the best man for the job. "He is the senior-most man in the team," the official told ESPNcricinfo. "Also, we felt it was better to have a bowler as captain. Over the years, many international sides, too, have had success with bowlers as captains, like Imran Khan and Wasim Akram, so we wanted to have a man who understood the bowlers' perspective." Ishant, however, will have to hand over the reins to Virat Kohli if the latter is available.
