French Open on Star Sports Select HD

The tournament is just over a fortnight away, and the way SSS promotes Wimbledon all year round, why aren't their any promotion for the second Grand Slam of the year..

I had seen the advertisemnet.The most elusive Grandslam Tennis tournament 2017 on Star Sports and Hotstar.

Star Sports channels are useless for ordinary non cricketing sports fans in India. Their SD channels only broadcast cricket 80% of the time and local leagues for the rest 20%. Select HD & HD channels are only in the reach of a handful of people. This will further decrease once they start charging for Select HD. I think not more than 0.5% people in India will be able to watch events like French Open, Wimbledon, Premier League and Bundesliga. What's the point of running such channels then.
