PARIS: Lucie Safarova reached her
first Grand Slam final at the age of
28 on Thursday when she defeated
former winner Ana Ivanovic 7-5, 7-5
in a mistake-ridden French Open
semifinal.
 
The Czech 13th seed will play either
top seeded American Serena
Williams or Swiss 23rd seed Timea
Bacsinszky in Saturday's final.
 
PARIS: Stan Wawrinka shattered
French hopes of a first men's singles
champion in 32 years on Friday when
he outlasted Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3,
6-7 (1/7), 7-6 (7/3) 6-4 in the first of
the semifinals.
 
Djokovic leads 2-1 with the fourth
set tied at 3-3. That's it for tonight.

Saturday. What a comeback from
Murray halfway through the third set
and then to break in the fourth. But
