Local e-retail giant, Flipkart on Monday,
announced the launch of its Android Wear app,
which will support wearables like the Moto 360
based on Googleâ??s platform. Flipkart
becomes the first e-retailer to create such an
app. The app supports wish-lists, and pushes
out notifications on Android Wear based
hardware.
Using the app, users can choose various
payment methods including -- Cash on Delivery,
Credit/Debit Card, EMI, NetBanking, and
PayZippy. Also, Flipkart touts a new user
interface and a smarter search feature where
the user can look up for a product using text,
voice or a barcode.
The app pushes out customised offers and
deals to its user and people can pinpoint
products as well. Standard sharing options are
also baked into the app.
Users can have the app by updating the app to
its latest version on their Android devices , and
the app atomically appears once an Android
Wearable is connected.
Flipkartâ??s rivals, Snapdeal and Amazon, so
far donâ??t have a competing product for
Android wear. Already, there are a number of
products using Android Wear like the Moto 360,
the Samsung Gear Live, the LG G-Watch and
the LG G-Watch R.
