Aaron Finch, Australia skipper,
suffered an injury to his hamstring
during the second Twenty20
International (T20I) against India at
the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
on Friday (January 29) and is unlikely
to feature in the final game of the
series that India has already pocketed
with an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Finch, who scored a brilliant 48-ball 74
in Melbourne, pulled his hamstring
muscle and was run out. Shane
Watson, who spoke on behalf of the
side after the game, said that Finch
could be out for a week, based on
'personal experience'.
"Finch is being assessed at the
moment. But, he has done some
damage to his hamstring. From
personal experience, I can say that he
may be out for a week," he said.
In such a case, Finch not only stands to
lose out of playing in the third T20I
against India, but could also miss a few
matches in the One-Day International
(ODI) series against New Zealand,
starting on February 2. Finch likely to be ruled out for a week due to hamstring injury - Cricbuzz
