NIZAMABAD: Burglars struck at the house of an automobile shop owner by posing as income tax officers in Sainagar area in Nizamabad in the early hours of Friday and took away 20 tolas of gold, 1 kg silver ornaments and Rs 1.10 lakh in cash.
Claiming that they were I-T sleuths, six members of the gang entered Praveen's house around 3am. They threatened the couple and demanded that they part with the gold and other jewellery. Based on a complaint, police registered a case and launched a manhunt for the burglars.
