Facebook announced several tools for the developers at the F8 conference few hours back. In addition to Bots for Messenger and Surround D-360 camera , it also introduced Account Kit for people the choice to log into new apps with their phone number or email address, new Facebook Share features including new quote and hashtag sharing that allow people to share new types of content and Profile Expressions Kit, a new identity expression platform that includes profile pic frames for Pages and enables people to post a profile video from third party apps.

Account Kit aims to help you increase your sign-ups and expand audience for both new and established apps. Account Kit can send up to 100K confirmation SMS per month at no charge. It has Customizable user interface (UI), rich, aggregated analytics and Facebook notification to complete the login process, if someone doesn’t get an SMS for login.

Quote Sharing makes it easy for people to express themselves by sharing quotes they find in apps and on websites. Hashtag Sharing lets you include a suggested, removable hashtag in the composer when people share from an app. This makes it easy for people to connect around topics that interest them on Facebook and adds more context to a post. Save Button helps people save articles, products and videos from all over the web in a private list on Facebook, which they can easily access later from any device.

The Facebook Profile Expression Kit lets people share videos they make in third-party apps directly into the Facebook profile video flow. The SDK is already available for select beta partners for the iOS versions of their apps: MSQRD, Boomerang from Instagram, lollicam, BeautyPlus, Cinemagraph Pro from Flixel, and Vine. Facebook has also opened Live API to so developers so they can design even more ways for people and publishers to interact and share in real time on Facebook.
