Hello everyone,
After price hike among private telecom operator many new users are shifting to state owned BSNL from their respective service provider. But, there are many terms used in BSNL plans one of them is GP which stand for Grace Period. The Grace Period is divided into two GP1 & GP2. Let us understand what are these and how you can save little more with them.

GP1 for BSNL

GP1 is the first grace period beginning on the next date of validity of the plan expiry. Normally, GP1 is for 7 days from the plan expiry date during which the customer has to renew the plan to carry forward the balance amount (if any) to the next recharge.

GP2 for BSNL

GP2 is the grace period 2 starting on the next day of GP1. That is GP2 starts on the 8th day of the expiry of the plan. As of now, GP2 is 165 days from the end of GP1.

In GP2, all incoming and outgoing services will be completely stopped in addition, if you are not ready to renew your plan during GP2, the SIM card will be terminated and you may lose your mobile number.

How to check your grace period?
Normally you can check by dialing *123*1# and on BSNL Selfcare app (only if you have already logged in app till GP1 ends as you'll not receive incoming 📨 SMS after that).

How to save more with GP?
When your GP1 ends after 7 days, from 8th days when your GP2 begin you can recharge with some good plans exclusively curated for GP2 customers. Right now these are plans*.

GP2 PlansCallsDataSMSValidity (Days)Actual Price
Rs139Unlimited1.5GB/DayNil28187
Rs201300 min6GB (Total)9990N/A
Rs1199Unlimited24GB (Total)100336N/A

*Price may vary from circle to circle but, would be near to this only.

Thank You.

Don't recharge with 197 Rs plan which shows 70 days validity for 2gb per day. I did and regret coz it's fake recharge which will expired in your 28 days, You need to read those terms and conditions along with this recharge about how to use data 2gb per day for 70 days. It's not useful.

actually free callans data works for 15 days only
then for day 16-70 only incoming works
wither do top-up of rs100 and use data only recharge.

but overall complicated and worst product
