What do you think is the future of that 700 MHz band?
It's good, but Jio has stopped the expansion of 5G totally. They have not able to deploy VoNR as well(The way they have deployed VoLTE on the go in 2016 itself, they have some kind of app as well for non support devices). Airtel deployed Nokia IMS better than Jio I feel and in really short span of time. I don't think Airtel will buy 600Mhz, but if it does for the SA network and VoNR, then everyone should be worried. But n105 ecosystem isn't ready. So Airtel should be thinking 1000 times before buying 60000-65000 crore spectrum.

Excitel plans to convert India's cable TV households to fiber broadband users by replacing traditional set-top boxes with Android-enabled IPTV boxes, aiming to onboard 2 million users in 18 months. The company collaborates with local cable operators to offer IPTV and OTT subscriptions at current prices.

@Koji I hope Excitel expands in your area and you get extreme fast affordable FTTH.

They have plans to upgrade it to 1Gbps in Mumbai. Came to know from their team.

I dont think that would happen at all

Because 7 star dominates andheri west for the last 2 decades

There is Vortex netsol which offers plans similar to excitel ,vortex netsol in versova offers 400mbps under 1000rs

I have seen excitel operating in khar west tho

Best case would be ,when i shift from where i stay currently and get excitel in whatever new place i go

From previously what I have known, one advice as well wisher, do relocate judging where there is competitive FTTH criteria and no p#mps like your current housing, now that India is almost covered with fiber unlike old days! :hs:

7 star doesn't provide anything above 300Mbps right?

Anything above 1000 for 500Mbps is ridiculous stuff in my opinion in urban areas.

Vortex Netsol isn't good from what I have heard.

the guy whom i got the connection installed from says there are 1gbps plan too (which are not available on the website)

I didnt ask for the pricing but I’m assuming 2500₹ a month

Vortex netsol is not bad imo

My college in andheri takes internet from them

Due to 100mbps ports on college pc it maxes out at 94mbps

Same applies for tp link routers used by college ,since those have 100mbps port and cap out at 94mbps

Hope they add city local cable channels in their IPTV services
