Ahead of the commercial launch of its 4G LTE services, Reliance Jio has been running its Jio Preview offer with free unlimited data, voice calls and unlimited access to its suite of content services for a period of 90 days. Last week, the company expanded its preview program to HP desktop and laptop users for buying a JioFi 2 MiFi hotspot device. Now, a report suggests that the device will be available for purchase to anyone, starting August 12.
Under the Jio Preview offer for HP customers, users were required to enter details about their HP laptop or desktop. The company would then send an SMS to users with a unique referral coupon code, which they could take to any Reliance Digital or Reliance Digital Xpress Mini store and purchase the JioFi 2 device for Rs 2,899.
Now, citing sources, TechPP reports that the executives at Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress Mini retailers have been asked not to ask for a coupon code while issuing the JioFi 2 device. However, the rest of the procedure would still remain the same. Users will be required to fill the CAF (customer acquisition form), address and ID proof to avail the Reliance Jio connection.
Priced at Rs 2,899, one of the key highlights of the MiFi hotspot device is that it supports 4G LTE network, allows you to connect up to 31 devices at the same time and boasts a battery that can last for up to six hours on full charge. Along with three months of unlimited data, JioFi 2 users can also download the JioJoin app on their smartphone to make unlimited HD voice and video calls. That’s not all; users also get unlimited access to Reliance Jio suite of apps such as Jio Chat, Jio On Demand, Jio Play, Jio Mags, Jio Beats, Jio Money and Jio Security among others.
