Dale Steyn will miss the One-Day
International (ODI) series against
England that starts next week on
Wednesday (February 3). Steyn has
been sitting on the sidelines for the
major part of the Test series against
England and India due to injuries.
He is currently recovering from a
shoulder strain and the team manager
Mohammed Moosajee revealed that
Steyn's symptoms had not improved
and it could take somewhere close to
10 weeks for the speedster to recover
completely.
"All initial scans were clear but when
symptoms did not improve, we
discovered a reaction in the bone
itself," Moosajee said. "This is very rare
in fast bowlers as it is usually caused
by trauma. We are treating it
conservatively because he is a fast
bowler and we know we have the T20
WC coming up," he said.
