1st Innings Review:
The talk was all about the players missing out on the tour prior to the start of the match. Now, all those would be put to rest, with the visitors posting a huge score after opting to bat. Ben Stokes proved the good old saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" right - bringing up his maiden ODI ton in his 45th match. He walked to the middle when England were slightly in a spot of bother at 63-3 with the debutant Ben Duckett on 3 at the other end. That's when the Ben duo decided to counter punch - which they did excellently. A 153-run stand that was filled with lofted shots all round the ground, conventional and reverse sweeps, cheeky shots and of course helped along with drop catches. Duckett played a matured innings to get to his maiden fifty playing second fiddle to his senior partner. He eventually perished to Shafiul looking to up the ante. Soon after the dismissal, the southpaw reached the milestone, which involved 8 fours and four maximums. Bangladesh fought back removing Stokes and Moeen Ali in quick succession, to trigger a late collapse. But, that's when the skipper decided to provide the late blow and ensured that England cross the 300-mark - thanks to his blistering knock of 63 off 38 deliveries.
