With the sun going down (and not rain pelting down) at Chittagong, Bangladesh go into the innings break with a score of 277 on the board. After being put into bat, the hosts got off to a good start - an 80-run opening stand between Imrul Kayes and Tamim Iqbal, before the former perished to Stokes. Tamim became the first Bangladesh player to cross the 5000-run mark in his knock of 45. Sabbir Rahman came it at 3, and like his predecessors, he too go too got a start, but couldn't convert it into a big one, as he became the third Bangladesh batsmen to get dismissed in the 40s. From 122-2, the Tigers slipped 192-6, thanks to a wonderful spell from from Adil Rashid who ended with figures of 4/43. Moeen Ali chipped in with the crucial wicket of Shakib Al Hasan. With scores of 12 and 21 in the previous two outings, Rahim was due for a good innings. He didn't disappoint the fans who came in a large number as he brought up his 23rd half century He, along with Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, the 20-year old sensation shared an unbeaten partnership of 85 off just 71 runs.
