Is it confirmed that Star has rights of all future movies, or whether it was a one time off?
All YRF movies starting from War are with Star Gold/Plus and Hotstar. YRF movies until Thugs of Hindostan stay with Sony (satellite), but their digital rights will move from Amazon (as well as Google Play Movies) to Hotstar.

I'm asking is this really confirmed? Unless we see upcoming mardaani movie, we can't really comment on that

No this not correc
I think the big budget YRF films will be on Star while the medium budget and low budget ones will be on Sony
Star not promote Mardaani 2 on his channel just like War . Mardaani 2 trailer not promote by star . But War trailer promote by Star all channel.

I think Amazon YRF deal ends this month. YRF library is present since 14th December 2016. So it might be a 3 year deal.
