New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday questioned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sudhanshu Mittal in connection with the 2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG) overlays scam.

The Income Tax (IT) officials had raided the houses of Sudhanshu Mittal and his nephew Vinay Mittal in connection with the CWG probe in October last year.

Both, Sudhanshu and Vinay, are reported to be connected with the Deepali consortium, a supplier of sports equipment, which was awarded the contract for the 2010 CWG.

Sudhanshu Mittal, considered to be a close associate of former BJP President Rajnath Singh and late party leader Pramod Mahajan, had then said that he was being made a political scapegoat in the ongoing investigation into the Commonwealth Games scam.
